Mission
The Government Relations Committee shall monitor and review legislation, regulations, and the positions of other associations and health care agencies on matters with specific relevance to cardiovascular research; education; the practice of cardiovascular medicine and surgery; and the delivery of cardiovascular health care.

Private Sector/Third Party Reimbursement

Mission
The Committee shall monitor and review developments in the private sector, including corporations, health care insurers and consumer groups of specific relevance to the practice of cardiovascular medicine and surgery and the delivery of cardiovascular health care.

Actively communicate with corporate purchasers of medical care; third party payers; consumer groups and other private sector entities to foster optimal delivery of cardiovascular specialty care services.

Interact with corporate purchasers of medical care; third-party payers; consumer groups and other private sector entities to define the contribution and roles of the cardiovascular specialist in the delivery of medical care.
